Jungle Serpent

3 oz Batavia Arrack

0.75 oz pineapple gum syrup

0.75 oz lime juice

1 oz Aperol

Only use fresh squeezed lime juice. Roughly one lime is about right.

You want to peel the lime for garnish. The serpent effect works especially well to peel as two longer spirals or one very long spiral.

Place lime peel in glass first. Drape one half peel over opposite corners as shown in picture.

Place all ingredients in shaker tin. Shake with good vigor. Decent amount of ice.

Pour strained drink into glass. Then drop in ice from shaker. this will hold the peel in place so that it gives the look of snake swimming in the glass.
