The future of pharma manufacturing is robotic. So we built it. The first of its kind distributed and modular robotic manufacturing system. As Co-Founder & CTO, I architected our technology and led our engineering team in realizing a lights-out flexible manufacturing system for personalized medicine.

My Quadrotor(s)
My Quadrotor(s)

I manage to find some time to go flying every now and again... Right now I've got a 450mm quad with FPV, hoping to build a 250 racer too. I've got a lot of micro-quads too!

Drone Deployed Anti-Mosquito System
Drone Deployed Anti-Mosquito System

I was the main developer and team leader on a project to distribute MicroDispensers of repellant autonomously via a web application for commerical and military use.

Vecna QC-Bot
Vecna QC-Bot

While interning at Vecna, I did some work to implement a simple retro-fab capable cooling system to deploy to existing AGVs in hospitals that needed to keep drugs cool in transit.

Vecna-Charging Contact Test-Bed
Vecna-Charging Contact Test-Bed

Another Vecna task was to develop this PLC controlled, pneumatically driven test-bed. The QC Bot has metal charging contacts and my system will do reliability testing to see how these contacts wear under repeated use.

Vecna Turntable
Vecna Turntable

One of the bigger projects at Vecna started as a group task which I eventually took on fully. This is a giant turntable rated for >600lbs and with <1° resolution. It is to be used for EM testing and cosmetic photography, so we needed to be sure to EMF sheild the entire assembly.

Tin Can forge
Tin Can forge

In order to do some metal casting in another project, I built this hack-tastic forge with a butane torch, plaster, sand and a tin can.

I like to think I have an eye for detail, and I use that to engage my artistic side.

Mac Product Design intern
Mac Product Design intern

I worked on MacBook Pros, and did some work testing batteries, redesigning some cables, and reviewing the tolerances of the system and assisting in some re-design accordingly.

NextEra Energies
NextEra Energies

I interned at NextEra in their renewables group after my freshman year at MIT. While there I worked on many things, including the design of a vane alignment tool which could be saving NextEra ~$11mil/yr. I can't show the final product but above is some quick CAD to represent the concept.

Contour - Prosthetic Socket
Contour - Prosthetic Socket

In my senior capstone class - 2.009, I was a leading designer in the development of Contour. This is a prosthetic socket that adjusts to the shape of your residual limb as it changes throughout the day, using granular jamming. Wearing it is Stephen, our main test-user.

2.12 Exoskeleton
2.12 Exoskeleton

In my intro to robotics class - 2.12, we developed an exoskeleton to allow parapelegics to walk. Our robot was mounted to a mannequin and I developed the control software and trajectories to help the robot walk.

Mass Production yo-yo
Mass Production yo-yo

In my manufacturing class, our final project is to produce a yo-yo at scale with injection molded and thermoformed parts on a tight budget. My team made a high-performance yo-yo. I still love doing string tricks at high speed with it.
